On Saturday, the 19th of September the newly formed Northern Elite U-11 Boys Rampage played their first league game as a team. While the end result wasn't what we were hoping for the level of effort certainly was. Our boys played hard and were seeing the field very well as they dominated most of the play. Execution of a few more of our passes and a little more agression on attacking balls and the game would have swung in the other direction.
The boys were clearly a bit nervous at the start, as was to be expected, but settled down nicely about half way through the first half. They were thinking all the right reads and tried to make the proper passes, but just weren't quite able to get enough pace on some passes. As a whole we are starting to see some real cohesion amongst the boys as they log more playing time together and you can see that they are beginning to anticipate each other very well. This is a team that will be vastly improved with each game played.
