Wow! What a great game on Saturday. Team Rampage earned it's first victory behind an agressive offense and great work off of set pieces. This was a complete team effort starting with our goalie play and moving forward through our defense and middie play.
Zach H. scored our first goal with agressive play in front of the goal off of a corner kick by Devon. We had several scoring oppurtunites from corner kicks in this game created off of strong kicks into the middle of the box. Our boys fought hard to put the ball on the net and found everything from the back of the net to the goal post and everything in between.
The overall agressiveness of the boys on Saturday was what really made the difference against a Hereford team that played a bit sloppy and seemed to be a pace behind our boys. Hereford was only able to get 3 clean shots off on goal all game thanks to what i have come to expect and rely on.......a very stout and quick defense, and increasingly stronger goalie play.
Overall, our boys are starting to see the field better and trust their instincts more and more. You see that in the back line with our defenders moving forward with higher frequency to get involved with and be a bigger part of our offense. Our Wings are getting to more through balls and creating more crossing passes to the far post....as we progress and finish those oppurtunities we will really start to light up the score board.
