On the frightful afternoon of Halloween the Rampage held on to win a 4-3 game against the mighty Bobcats. This game started off strong with a 3-1 advantage at the half and but ended with everyone on pins a needles after a penatly shot with only 5 seconds left. Our goalie, Zach M, was confident and poised while knocking down the kick and holding on to our victory.
We had a complete game from the entire team on this day with both lines scoring and controlling play. Our defense held their own when we needed them most and our offense made the most out of the oppurtunites they created with skillful passing and finishing.
We had good shot opputunities from all three lines (something we have been encouraging and were happy to see), our defense took to shots on goal (jacob p) and middie scored his first goal (michael) and we scored two goals from the left side (one from zach h and one from griffin) and another from the right (griffin). Devon provided three assists from the center position and our defense kept the ball on their side of the field most of the day.
All three goals that we gave up were on break aways and were well earned. We shut the door on them in the last ten minutes of game with plays like Chad had at center field with a fierce tackle that left on the opposing team picking themselves off the grass.
All and all this was a exciting match with contributions from everyone on the team. Lets keep this momentum rolling into our last regular season game and beat Fallston on Saturday.
